Former MÖTLEY CRÜE Manager To Auction Off Memorabilia
September 15, 2004Backstage Auctions has just announced their next offering, "Mötley Crüe: The Early Years". Exclusively from the estate of CRÜE's first manager/producer, Allan Coffman, this auction includes historic collectibles such as recordings, videos, hand written lyrics, signed contracts, outtake photos, vinyl, handbills, and more.
"Because these items are from the band's earliest days, when they were just coming together," explains Backstage Auctions owner Jacques van Gool, "there are many pieces that have never been seen before. Now, with MÖTLEY CRÜE planning a reunion tour for next year, these items will become even more meaningful and precious."
Jacques adds, "There are quite a few pieces in this collection that are truly exceptional and should be of great interest to collectors. Specifically, acetates, test pressings, recordings and all the hand written lyrics by Nikki Sixx all from the album 'Too Fast For Love' are just a few of the highlights. The entire collection chronicles the early ups and downs of MÖTLEY CRÜE's quest for success. It's simply amazing."
Coffman was with the band in the early 1980s when their first demos were recorded, first gigs were played and the first major recording contract with Elektra Records was signed. "Mötley Crüe: The Early Years" will be an exciting experience for any longtime MÖTLEY CRÜE fan and collectors of classic rock memorabilia.
Backstage Auctions is the leading online auction house for classic rock memorabilia (www.backstageauctions.com) offering only those items from the personal collections of their legitimate owners, and only items which have never before been sold or traded on the marketplace.
